📸 One photo of each person, alone in the frame. A photo of you together makes the studio mix up the faces.
How to pick the best photo (worth reading)
- Whatever you are wearing in the photo becomes your character’s outfit in every scene of the film. Pick a photo with clothes you would like to see on screen — a dark coat over a dark shirt tends to become a heavy-looking costume.
- Good light: daytime, or near a window. A photo taken in the dark leaves the face without definition, and the character ends up looking like nobody.
- Face close and sharp, looking at the camera. If the face is small in the middle of a landscape, there is not enough detail to draw you.
- No sunglasses, cap, mask or heavy filter — they hide exactly what we need to see.
- A selfie works perfectly. You do not need a professional photo; you need one where you are recognisable.

The character comes from this photo: this person's face, hair and clothes appear in every scene of the film.
